Dear Parents and Guardians,
In this week’s school council meeting we talked about the current Three Year System Student Accommodation Plan (SSAP) where the CBE is looking at balancing enrolment between Senator Patrick Burns School and our three Spanish Bilingual feeder schools. Please have a look at the slides I sent to you earlier this week for more information. Personally, I do not expect any change to happen to SPB but as the slide presentation explains, any decisions around enrollment are being made on director level and above.
In case you do not receive any SchoolMessenger emails that contain promotional content, you will have missed this morning’s email around our latest Parent Association’s fundraiser this fall: Spolumbo’s Sausages, Hamburgers, Chicken, Bacon, Perogies, Simple Simon Pies and so much more.
Thank you all for your support for SPB

To participate, students simply complete the challenge related to their house, on their own time. When the challenge is complete, they can drop by room 31 or email their completed challenge to ibalbertazzi@cbe.ab.ca to get an extra 10 points for their house.

School Conferences Thursday and Friday October 24 and 25, 2024
We are excited to invite you to our upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences where you’ll have the opportunity to connect with your child’s teachers and discuss their progress, strengths, and areas for growth. These conferences are a valuable time to share insights, ask questions, and work together to support your child’s learning and development. We believe that collaboration between home and school is key to fostering a positive and successful educational experience.
Parents are welcome to book a 10-minute conference time with each of their child's teachers. The Thursday October 24 conferences will be held in person from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Senator Patrick Burns School at 2155 Chilcotin Road NW, Calgary AB. Online conferences will be held online on Friday, October 25 from 8:30 am to 2 pm. Conference booking will open to parents on Tuesday, October 15.
