This week, our eighth-grade photography students embarked on an exciting journey to the SAIT Digital Youth Lab, where they explored the transformative worlds of virtual reality, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Thank you to Sra. Herrera for taking our students to SAIT for this day of learning.

Your challenge is to increase your ability to ask open-ended questions. Research what open-ended questions sound like and come up with at least 8 examples of open-ended questions. Don’t forget to submit your list.

Beaver Computing Challenge

On November 14, SPB will offer students the chance to participate in the Beaver Computing Challenge (BCC) by the University of Waterloo, which is open to all grades. The BCC is an online, multiple-choice contest designed to introduce students to computer science concepts and problem-solving skills in a fun, engaging way. It’s a great opportunity for students to explore computational and logical thinking!
