Dear Parents and Guardians,

After school activities are in full swing at SPB. On Monday, we had our last Cross Country event with more than 40 Broncos completing their races in the various age categories. Students were cheered on by their friends, parents and coaches and any SPB finisher received a frozen treat to cool them down on a beautiful, sunny, late summer afternoon.

Thank you for all your support during sports activities – please remember that our coaches are volunteering in their free time and do not get paid for their efforts. Our main objective is not to win every event but to provide students with opportunities to learn new skills and to practice them in competitive games. In case you disagree with any decisions by referees and coaches, please wait till after the activity before you approach them and have a kind conversation about your observations. As always, you are more than welcome to contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns.

Finally, due to the SPB Terry Fox run happening today, we decided to honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, which is also knows as Orange Shirt Day, from October 1 - 3, 2025. By not recognizing Terry Fox and Orange Shirt Day on the same day we give more support to both important events.

Have a great, long weekend.
