Dear Parents and Guardians,

Over the summer, both the art room and the woodshop’s walls were renovated and the rooms updated. You can see the new look in the pictures above and our students and Career Technology Foundation (CTF) teachers are delighted about these updates. CTF options are an important part in our daily schedule as art and woodshop are two very popular options. We endeavour to give as many students as possible the opportunity to explore these two very popular options.

Please be advised that there will be no disruption to school until we are certain that a potential strike will go ahead on Monday, October 6, 2025. In the meantime, we will continue with all clubs, sport practices, and planned trips.

Please look out for a letter about the changes to Alberta’s Education Act which we will share with you on Monday afternoon. The opt-in forms for health education will become available at the end of September.

Finally, we are continuing to celebrate our students’ birthdays each week. Please let us know if you do not want your child’s birthday recognized in school.

SPB Parent Association – Casino Volunteers

The SPB Parent Association needs you for our largest fundraiser for our school. We will require over 40 volunteers for our casino being held at Cowboys Casino on Tuesday, December 9 and Wednesday, December 10. Please consider signing up as soon as possible and ask a friend, grandparents or other relatives to come join us with this sign-up link

Cross Country

The final Cross Country event will take place at Confederation Park on Monday, September 22, 2025 (Rosemount Community Centre:  2807 10 St NW)

Joining Cross Country is a great way to show your dedication, build endurance, and be part of a committed athletic community. Coaches across all sports recognize and value athletes who put in the work. If you're thinking about trying out for other teams, this is the perfect place to start.

Terry Fox
