Senator Patrick Burns School together with the CBE are excited to highlight a considerable milestone for our Spanish Bilingual program! Over the past 25 years, this program has fostered a deep appreciation for language, culture, and global citizenship, while offering students the opportunity to become fluent in both Spanish and English. The Spanish Bilingual Program provides students with the opportunity to acquire the basic skills for speaking, reading, writing, listening and communicating in both English and Spanish at a young age. It is a program in which Spanish and English are used as the languages of instruction, beginning in Kindergarten or Grade 1 and continuing to Grade 12. To mark this momentous occasion, we will be celebrating at Crescent Heights School today with our Chief Superintendent, Jo Pitman, and the Spanish Education Attaché for Canada, Sr. Carlos Berrozpe Peralta, in attendance. All teachers in the Spanish Bilingual programs and especially here at Senator Patrick Burns School are very proud of this achievement and thank you for your continued support over the years.
