Dear Parents and Guardians

This week, we celebrated our students’ work and learning by showcasing their skills and talents in our first annual Winter Mercado. All our visitors were able to purchase handmade crafts (like the above wooden tree decorations), gingerbread houses, 3D printed key chains, cards or enjoy listening to our school band in the gym, heavy metal and rock bands of all ages in the cafeteria, all while enjoying a hot chocolate made by students from the foods program. Later that evening, the School Council met in person in the conference room to talk about progress at SPB as well as how to best prepare for the challenges ahead. I would like to thank all teachers, especially our Career Technology Foundations (CTF) Learning Leader, Sra. Newburn, for organizing and running this amazing event. Thank you to all students who were involved and made this evening so special and especially you, all parents and guardians, who came to support our school and all students. Again, Orgullo Bronco Pride was on display and as a school, we raised $2000.00 for the Calgary Food Bank, which will be delivered to their office on Friday after school and used to support families in need during this holiday season.

Have a peaceful and relaxing Winter Break.
