Happy new year! This week, we were happy to welcome all students back to the building. We are looking forward to a new year of exploring, learning and improving our Spanish skills.

A reminder of the “Away for the Day Use of Personal Mobile Devices in School, Use of Personal Mobile Devices in School for K-9 Students” regulations: (https://www.cbe.ab.ca/about-us/policies-and-regulations/Documents/Away-for-the-Day-Guideline.pdf) Please be aware that according to these provincial regulations students are not allowed to wear smartwatches in school during the day (https://www.cbe.ab.ca/about-us/policies-and-regulations/Documents/FAQ-Student-Personal-Mobile-Device-Policy.pdf).

Finally, I would like to remind you to regularly check your student’s PowerSchool account, as fees are continually added throughout the year for various activities. Keeping up to date with these charges will help ensure all payments are made promptly.

Chinook Learning Services | Continuing Education | Spanish for Parents - Level 1 | Winter 2025

Chinook Learning Services offers courses specifically designed for parents and caregivers of CBE Spanish Bilingual students. For Winter 2025, Chinook Learning Services is offering Spanish for Parents – Level 1.

This eight-week course will help parents of bilingual students learn or refresh their Spanish language skills, build their network of bilingual parents, and support their children’s learning at home.
