Dear Parents and Guardians
This week was a short week at SPB and teachers are looking forward to two days of dedicated professional learning at the Teachers’ Convention. It allows us to deepen our understanding of the subjects that we are teaching and to broaden our horizons by attending seminars about topics that will change our profession in the future, e.g., AI in education. Teachers also use this time to connect with colleagues to network and find out what other schools do to best support students in their learning. I am very excited about this fantastic opportunity to support my career long learning.
Wishing you all a happy Family Day on Monday, enjoy the long weekend and stay warm.

Yearbook Group Photo: Grade 6 Volleyball Tournament
We are excited to inform you that a group photograph will be taken of the Grade 6 volleyball tournament participants on Thursday, February 20, at the start of lunch. Please note the following important details:
- Arrival and Dress Code:
Students must first check in with their lunch supervisor before heading to the main gym. They should then change into their full gym strip, including athletic shoes, for the photo. - Timeliness:
It’s important that students arrive promptly to ensure they are included in the group photo.
Additionally, if any parents/guardians have any photos from the volleyball tournament that they would like to contribute for the yearbook, please send them to Sra. Panrucker at ispanrucker@cbe.ab.ca, with the subject line "Grade 6 Volleyball Tournament Photos."
Thank you for your support, and we look forward to capturing this memorable moment for the yearbook!
